Music, From Heart to Home
From the Hearts of Our Parents
Mrs. Donna - North Canton
WeJoySing teachers experience JOY and LAUGHTER each week, but we know that the “rest of the story”, indeed the best of these stories, come to life in your home and are treasured in your hearts. Recently, WeJoySing PARENTS shared how music impacts their lives, From Heart to Home.
Hide the Fine China!
One evening at a Chinese restaurant our fifteen-month-old Greyson picked up his chopsticks and started to tap them on the table: "Big, Big, Big, Big..." Eight-year-old Blake, with his own WeJoySing experience, picked up his chopsticks and tapped "Lit-tle, Lit-tle..." Both boys were occupied and happy until our dinner arrived!
After this nine weeks’ activities with the plastic plates and “LaBasque,” I wondered if Greyson will now pick up his dinner plate and tap it on his head and knees...??

WeJoySing...a Whole New World...
As a nanny and Sunday-school teacher, nurturing and playing with children came naturally to me. However, when I discovered WeJoySing, a whole new world opened up. For the first time, I understood how I could bring my love of music into the lives of children, including my own. No longer relying on recorded music, I was a young child proclaiming, “I can do it myself!” I wanted to tell the world of the treasure I’d found. The treasure is the song of our lives as music adds joy, with such ease, to everything we do.
Peek into our home...you’ll see a family...playing and rejoicing with our little ones, using the songs, games and skills we’ve learned at WeJoySing. Thank you for teaching me how to play with and enjoy my children in a whole new way!
~Marie Chapman, mother of two and teacher of many...
Takin’ Brown Bear to Meetin’...
Our children have really benefited from WeJoySing; we sing in our house constantly. Our most recent pleasure was when we were getting ready for church on Sunday and our twenty-five-month-old daughter, Emory, proudly sang "Jesus, Jesus, what do you see? I see a Brown Bear looking at Me!!"

Music Makes for Happy Boys...
Ozzie is 2 ½ and Nolan is 10 months. One recent rainy day, we made a drumming circle for “Here I come with my little tom-tom” or rather, our tom-tom sauce pans.
Folding laundry became a game of “See Saw Nanny Naw” and the “tough trees” fell all over the clean clothes. Can’t find Nolan in the picture? Ozzie was playing “Where, Oh Where, Oh Where is Nolan?” Nolan laughed and clapped his hands, so Ozzie sang, “If you’re happy and you know it” with him.
Because of WeJoySing, we have a song for any occasion. Sometimes we make up our own. Music helps make our lives joyful, a heart attitude we hope to always reflect. We know our boys certainly do.
