A Season for Giving
A Special Opportunity for YOU to Impact a Little Life Forever!

 Since January of 2000, WeJoySing has been honored to provide JOY-FILLED music and movement based learning experiences for the children of the Broad Street Infant and Toddler Center, affectionately known as BIT-C (pronounced “Bitsy.”)
Originally an outreach of the Broad Street Presbyterian Church, BIT-C was established (using Title XX public funds) with the goal of bringing together neighborhood families from the Near East Side of Columbus with church member families in response to an urgent need for high quality childcare for their youngest children, newborns to three years. Today the Center operates through the Columbus Early Learning Centers and can serve up to 36 children.
 BIT-C's mission is to encourage and promote the family unit and to foster whole-child development in a nurturing, learning environment. WeJoySing has been an active player in this mission. WeJoySing’s partnership with BIT-C has helped little ones by enhancing their emotional, intellectual, physical, language, and social development. It also has been a way for teachers/care-givers to bond with the little ones at the center. “Mrs. Nancy,” WeJoySing instructor, has seen first-hand how WeJoySing has helped children to respect and enjoy one another as they learn to share, follow directions, take turns, put instruments away, become familiar with books and develop skills important for reading, and participate in activities that enhance gross and fine motor skills. All of this in a JOYFUL, PLAYFUL environment!
"Mrs. Nancy" describes BIT-C as “an amazing place. The children eagerly respond to and participate in the songs and musical experiences. I'm thrilled to see the children's musical growth as well as growth in other areas of development.”
 Unfortunately, BIT-C recently reported that though staff and teachers deeply desire to continue the partnership with WeJoySing, the Center lacks needed funds. Though leadership from both the church and the Center has sought backing, full funding has not been secured to continue weekly WeJoySing classes in 2010.
This Holiday Season – this Season of Giving - we want to make you aware of this unique opportunity: to support WeJoySing’s presence at BIT-C with your financial gift. The "beautiful song" of your contribution WILL make a difference in a child's life--not just today, but for days, months, and years to come. Music changes lives…
 The powerful "gift of music" has enabled Mrs. Nancy to build a deep and enduring connection with the children and staff of BIT-C. Center Director, Shannon Brown reports that “WeJoySing is an awesome opportunity for the children. They light up as Mrs. Nancy walks through the door every Friday." WeJoySing's impact is felt not only on Fridays, but throughout the week as teachers incorporate these songs and activities into the child's daily lives and center curriculum. Mrs. Nancy's musical mentoring has planted seeds to help the staff grow in their own creativity. “It’s very important to us to keep her here,” says Brown.
